David M. Resis

David M. Resis has recovered over $50 million in verdicts and settlements for his clients throughout his career.

He has used his trial skills as well as his to obtain several record-setting verdicts across Illinois and has argued before the Appellate Court First District of Illinois, securing a successful reversal and remand for his client.

David has been named a Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Attorney by The National Trial Lawyers, selected as an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star, and has served on the Board of Advocates for the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He has also acted as a trial instructor at his alma mater’s Trial Advocacy Program.

Born and raised in Chicago, David developed an early commitment to pursuing a legal career. He began working in civil litigation during his undergraduate years at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. After graduating, he attended UIC Law School in Chicago, where he held executive roles on the Trial Advocacy Honors Board.

While in law school, David competed in UIC’s nationally ranked trial advocacy program, finishing as a finalist in both regional and national competitions.
